Kishtwar, April 19, 2025 – The second and final phase of specialized training for YUVA DOOTs, the dedicated youth ambassadors of the ambitious Mission YUVA initiative, concluded successfully today at the District Commissioner Office Complex in Kishtwar.

Over two intensive days, April 18th and 19th, 2025, a total of 174 young individuals were empowered with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive the mission's goals throughout the district.

The training program was a key undertaking led by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Kishtwar, Mr. Pawan Kotwal (JKAS).

Mr. Kotwal emphasized the vital role of these YUVA DOOTs as crucial grassroots mobilizers, tasked with fostering youth entrepreneurship and expanding livelihood opportunities within the region.

Highlighting the long-term vision of youth empowerment, the ADC described the Mission YUVA initiative as a significant stride towards achieving self-sufficiency, inclusive growth, and greater economic resilience for the Kishtwar community.

The core objective of the program was to equip the YUVA DOOTs – the designated ambassadors for Mission YUVA – with essential information regarding various government schemes, understanding eligibility criteria, and navigating operational procedures.

These newly trained volunteers will play a pivotal role in facilitating community outreach, guiding young people through the onboarding process, and providing valuable mentorship to aspiring young entrepreneurs.

Throughout the training, subject matter experts and resource personnel from relevant departments conducted comprehensive sessions. These sessions covered a wide range of topics, from detailed registration processes for government schemes to effective community engagement strategies.

Participants also benefited from a practical, live demonstration of the YUVA App, providing them with hands-on experience using the digital platform for registration and real-time progress monitoring.

The program culminated in an engaging and interactive question-and-answer session, ensuring that all participants gained clarity and confidence in their upcoming responsibilities within their communities.

With the successful completion of this crucial training phase, Kishtwar is now in a stronger position to effectively leverage the potential of its youth and cultivate a thriving ecosystem of innovation and enterprise through the impactful Mission YUVA initiative.
