In an initiative towards youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development, the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Kishtwar, under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS), approved 67 new cases under various components of the Mission Youth initiative.

The approvals include 35 cases under the Mumkin Scheme, 08 under Tejaswini, and 24 under the Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative (SEI). These schemes are designed to provide financial aid, skill development, and infrastructure support to youth, promoting self-reliance and employment generation.

During the meeting, AD Employment Shafqat Ali Keen provided a comprehensive overview of the schemes, highlighting their impact and outreach.

The Deputy Commissioner also held one-on-one interactive sessions with beneficiaries availing loans under these programs, assuring them of continuous support and guidance.

The DC nominated the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kishtwar as the nodal officer to initiate a Driving Training Course, enhancing employability under Skill Development Course.

Reiterating the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, DC emphasized that the district is fostering an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem aimed at sustainable livelihoods, particularly for women and unemployed youth.

Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the district administration for facilitating access to vital support mechanisms and pledged to utilize the resources effectively for personal and community growth.

The meeting was attended by CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, AD Employment/FCS&CA Shafqat Ali Keen,ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani, LDM Kishtwar, and other concerned stakeholders.
