Hon’ble LOP/MLA Paddar–Nagseni Visits Noos Nallah, Padyarna Cloudburst-Affected Site

Hon’ble Leader of Opposition and MLA Paddar–Nagseni, Sh. Sunil Sharma, today visited the flood-affected site at Noos Nallah, WaganGarh, Padyarna, where a cloudburst and flash floods had washed away a major stretch of the Kishtwar–Paddar Road. He was accompanied by ACR Kishtwar Sh. Idrees Lone,JKAS; Tehsildar Nagseni Sh. Mohd Rafie Naik,JKAS; OC GREF and other senior officers.
During the visit, the Hon’ble MLA inspected the damaged stretch at Noos Nallah, Garh, and took stock of the losses caused not only to road connectivity but also to the agricultural and horticultural land of the local inhabitants.
Honble LOP/MLA informed that by this evening, the road would be made motorable for light motor vehicles, ensuring temporary relief to stranded commuters. He further emphasized that a permanent and long-term solution lies in the construction of a bridge at the site.
He directed the ACR Kishtwar to immediately prepare a detailed proposal for the same so that a sustainable solution can be worked out at the earliest.
Appealing to the people stranded at various locations, the Hon’ble MLA requested them to maintain patience till evening as efforts are underway to restore road connectivity.
The Hon’ble LOP/MLA also appreciated the District Administration Kishtwar and all field officers for their swift action in launching restoration works and ensuring timely response to the crisis.
