Kidzee Kishtwar’s 80th Independence Day: Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), today participated as the Chief Guest in a vibrant Pre-Independence Day Celebration organised by Kidzee Goodwill International Public School, Kishtwar, at the Government Degree College Auditorium, Kishtwar, as a prelude to the upcoming 80th Independence Day.
The programme was organised as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and Vande Mataram Phase-III Campaign, with students showcasing the spirit of patriotism through a series of cultural and educational presentations.

Head Girl Dhriti Sharma delivered a moving speech on the contributions and sacrifices of forgotten freedom fighters, particularly from Jammu & Kashmir, underscoring their invaluable role in the freedom struggle.

The event witnessed the presence of two Kargil War veterans and residents of Kishtwar district, who were invited as special guests. Their presence added significance and inspiration to the patriotic celebrations:

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the enthusiasm and confidence displayed by the students. He said it was particularly encouraging to see the children themselves taking responsibility for managing and conducting the Pre-Independence Day celebration.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significant contribution of the people of Jammu & Kashmir to the nation and remembered the sacrifices made by generations of citizens for the country's freedom, progress, and prosperity. He said these sacrifices have contributed immensely to the overall development and success of the nation.
Speaking about preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations on August 15, the Deputy Commissioner informed that various activities, as per the notified schedule, are already underway across the district.
He further informed that a Tiranga Rally was organised at the District Headquarters yesterday, witnessing mega participation of more than 15,000 people. He said the ongoing programmes and activities have generated an atmosphere of enthusiasm, unity, and patriotic spirit across Kishtwar ahead of Independence Day.
