The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) met today in Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), to review and approve applications submitted under the Mission YUVA scheme.
A total of 115 applications, duly verified by the Small Business Development Units (SBDUs), were presented to the committee. Each proposal was assessed based on eligibility, project feasibility, and the socio-economic background of the applicant.
After detailed scrutiny, the committee approved all 115 applications for financial assistance and handholding support, as verified by the J&K Bank Manager, Cluster Head, Kishtwar.
The DC, Kishtwar, highlighted the significance of empowering youth to contribute towards local economic development.
The DC directed the AD Employment Kishtwar to ensure that all sanctioned cases are promptly forwarded to banks so that beneficiaries receive timely assistance under the scheme.
He further advised banks to expedite the sanctioning and disbursement of loans and extend continuous guidance to support emerging entrepreneurs.
Mission YUVA continues to serve as an important initiative in generating livelihood avenues and fostering self-reliance among the youth of Kishtwar district.
