In a swift move to provide financial security to the families of industrial workers, the Labour Department Kishtwar has officially handed over ₹20 lakh in compensation to the kin of a deceased labourer.
The disbursement was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), and facilitated by Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Kishtwar, Smt. Mamta Sudershan (JKAS).

Deceased: Late Masood Ahmed (S/O Abdul Aziz).
Residence: Palmar, Kishtwar.
Workplace: Pakal Dul Hydro Electric Power Project, Dangduroo.
Incident: A tragic workplace accident that resulted in the loss of life.
Compensation Process
The compensation amount of ₹20 lakh was deposited by Jay Prakash Associates Limited into the official account of the ALC Kishtwar. The funds were subsequently transferred and formally handed over to the grieving family to assist with their long-term welfare.
